ANCHOR HOCKING GREEN GLASS BERRY SET CA 1920
ITEM #--------PRICE--$100.00 USD This beautiful green glass berry set includes the large bowl and 6 individual serving bowls. Each piece has delicate shell handles. This set is absolutely perfect and, as I stated in earlier posts, this lady must have bought them new and kept them locked away in a cabinet. I have never seen so many pieces of early 20th century glassware in such perfect condition. This set was made by Anchor Hocking in the early 1920s. Please contact me if you are interested. BEAUTIFUL FEDERAL GLASS ORIGINAL MADRID DISHES – SERVICE FOR 6 + SERVING PIECES ITEM #0812-135--------PRICE--$250.00 USD The auction I went to this past weekend was a farm auction and the lady who had lived there all her adult life was over 90 years old when she passed a few years ago. I do believe that she bought all of her depression glass when it was new and never used it — just kept it in a cabinet. Everything I bought was in mint or near mint condition – except for the 1934 Montgomery Ward wood burning, six burner, cook stove that I bought for myself. It is SO neat! Cream and green porcelain over steel and cast iron! I’ll post pictures of it when I get it cleaned up and installed. So, anyway, this post is about a beautiful set of amber depression glass dishes by Federal Glass Co., Madrid pattern. These are ORIGINAL MADRID (1932-1939), NOT THE RECOLLECTION PIECES MADE IN 1976. I have service for 6 with two 11-1/2″ platters and two 10″ oval vegetable bowls. Six each of cups and saucers, 8 7/8″ plate, 6″ bread & butter plate, 5″ dessert/fruit bowl and the open sugar bowl. The only damage I found with this set are some flea bites on a few pieces. You can see some air bubbles in some pieces. Please see the pics. According to Warman’s Depression Glass Guide, 4th Edition, these pieces have a total valued of $352.00, so you’re getting a good deal on this beautiful dishware. Contact me with any questions or if you are interested in buying. Thanks for looking! |
