I’m offering this very pretty Navajo Wedding Vase today. Although it is not antique or vintage, it is truly collectible! This piece is signed by the artist on the bottom. It looks like it reads: A. Dones, NAV, USA. The piece measures 6″ tall and about 3 1/2″ wide. My research of this type of vase showed that this particular type of vase was an integral part of wedding ceremonies in the Navajo nation. It is said that the groom’s parents would make the vase a few weeks prior to the wedding. The couple would drink from each side individually and then both would drink simultaneously. It is said if they can accomplish this task without spilling a drop, they would have a strong marriage. What a wedding gift this would make! Please contact us if you are interested. Thanks for looking!
